While it’s always best to get your pet to a veterinarian in the event of an emergency, you can also familiarize yourself with the basics of pet Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). If your pet experiences a life threatening emergency where he or she is not breathing and does not have a pulse, CPR can be attempted while someone is also making arrangements to get the pet to a veterinarian.
