More about this Rat Snake: This little guy accidentally mistook a plastic decoy egg for a real snack! A lot of people don’t realize that black rat snakes act as incredible natural pest control keeping homes, barns, and gardens clear of mice, rats, and other rodents. Fortunately, we were able to successfully remove the plastic egg and have been treating him with antibiotics to make sure he fully heals. He’s doing great and will be happily released back into the wild in the next few weeks!

Why We Loved Goldie: For our January #Petofthemonth, we remember sweet Goldie, who passed away far too soon at just 8 months old from cancer. Goldie was very sweet and always happy, even with her health struggles. Her loss is such a tragedy. Her time here was short but her sweet spirit left a lasting impression with everyone that knew her.
